The National Dog Portrait Awards is a photography competition open to dogs and their owners across the UK. We’re on a mission to find the nation’s best professional dog portrait and most photogenic pooch. Whether you’ve got a Poodle with oodles of personality, or a debonair Doberman, we want to see them captured in all their glory.
The 2020 National Dog Portrait Awards kicks off in March 2020 and will run until 12 months after the first monthly winner is announced. Entry cost is just £10 per photo and all profits will go to charity. Think your dog would make a magnificent portrait? Then find your nearest photographer and enter today.
It’s not just glory that you and your furry friend will win. In the first week of each month the entrants from the previous month will be uploaded to the Dog Portraits Faebook page. The top 5 photos with the most likes by the end of the week will make the shortlist. These 5 will then be presented to our expert judging panel who will select a winner.
The winning pooch & their owner will win £100 cash.
It doesn’t end there… 12 months after the first monthly winner is announced we will have one final competition where all shortlisted photos from the 2020 awards will be have the chance to win the National Dog Portrait Awards Grand Prize.
Similarly to the monthly awards, all 60 portraits that were shortlisted will be combined and uploaded to the National Dog Portrait Facebook page. The public will then vote for their favourites, to help us find a shortlist of 10. Once the votes are in, the shortlist will be judged by our expert judging panel, who will decide on the overall winner and the two runners up.
